The Deep Life Sensors team consists of a management team, a Clinical Advisory Committee, a Business Advisory Committee, and a growing number of employees. They work together to develop innovative health-tech products such as the eCLIPSe Continuous Blood Pressure Monitor.
Senior Management

The senior management team has worked closely to study blood pressure and heart rate control for over 25 years. Deep Life Sensors is led by the two co-founders, Dr. Robert Sheldon and Dr. Daniel Roach. They have extensive experience in cardiac causes of low blood pressure and loss of consciousness; Dr. Sheldon is a world thought leader in the field and has held senior administrative positions, including Alberta Health Service Senior VP Research and CIHR Governing Council. Dr. Roach provides a unique combination of mathematical modeling and hardware, firmware, and software development.

The CEO is Dr. Robert Sheldon, who is an arrhythmia cardiologist. He has a BSc (Bishop’s University), Ph.D. (University of Colorado), and MD (University of Toronto).

The CTO is Dr. Daniel Roach, who is a physiology theoretician and research engineer with a BASc (Queen’s University), MSc (University of Ottawa), and Ph.D. (University of Ottawa).

Clinical Advisory Council
Dr. Alexander Leung, Associate Professor, University of Calgary is an internationally recognized hypertension specialist. Dr. Debra Isaac, Clinical Associate Professor, University of Calgary is a national leader in heart failure care. Dr. Win-Kuang Shen, Professor, Mayo Clinic Phoenix, is an international thought leader and key opinion leader in syncope.

Business Advisory Council
Mr Randy Duguay is the CEO of Health Gauge, an Alberta digital health company that is internationally active and now publicly traded. Mr Terry Duesterhoeft is an international deep content expert in the development, marketing, and sales of blood pressure monitors, telehealth, and remote patient monitoring. He has held senior management and C-suite positions in GE, A&D Medical, and several other digital health companies. Mr Gary Bantle is a Calgarian with over 20 years as a serial investor and venture capitalist, including growing 17 med tech start-up companies.
